Mad in Canada TALKS

Mad in Canada TALKS are monthly talk shows featuring members of the Mad in Canada editorial team, and occasional guest contributors.

Watch MIC Talks for lively and engaging conversations focused on the many thought-provoking topics that are relevant to what’s happening (and not happening!) in mental health environments in Canada.

Mad in Canada is dedicated to providing a forum for progressive dialogue which reconsiders the public discourse on mental health in Canada, and we want Mad in Canada TALKS to be a key contributor to this campaign.

Mad in Canada welcomes your feedback, including any suggestions you have for topics to discuss in future episodes and guests.

Mad in Canada TALKS: An Introduction
October 9, 2026

In this first episode of MIC TALKS, we introduce ourselves and we share a bit about what we hope MIC TALKS will deliver. We also talk about a survey on Antidepressants and Informed Consent that is currently being done by Mad in Canada.

Our survey is aimed at shedding light on the informed consent process experienced by adults who are living in Canada, and who have been prescribed antidepressants at some point in their life. Our survey is not about whether people should or should not take antidepressants. It’s about what people are being told about the potential effects of antidepressants, when they are prescribed.

Learn more and take the survey here: https://madincanada.org/2026/05/calling-all-people-living-in-canada-who-have-been-prescribed-an-antidepressant/
